The purpose of the Phase B Assessment is to investigate potential areas of concern revealed during the Phase A Survey, evaluate the extent of the mold problem if one is found, identify the underlying moisture problem, and plan for mold remediation by writing a scope of work if necessary. Phase B usually involves mold sampling to identify the Condition One, Two and Three spaces as defined by the IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard, the accepted industry standard.
